Highway 9 Networks started its journey with a broad vision to deliver mobile cloud services to the enterprise, so users can wirelessly connect smart phones, laptops, devices, and machines to enterprise networks and apps, operator networks and public clouds. We created the multi-tenant Highway 9 Mobile Cloud to deliver Private Mobile Networks (PMN), and Neutral Host Networks (NHN) as–a–Service. These services have been well received by marquee customers in higher education, manufacturing, logistics, and commercial real estate.
Today we announced our acceptance into the Google Springboard program, which is targeted at industry–leading AI startups. The Google ISV Startup Springboard program is focused on driving Google Cloud / AI initiatives and is a critical catalyst to unleashing innovation, especially at the edge. Highway 9 Networks’ innovative Mobile Cloud, built on Google Cloud technology, will transform how we leverage AI to bring together new-world AI-driven users, apps, devices, and machines across distributed locations at the edge.
Today’s announcement signals our intention to extend the mobile cloud to seamlessly include edge-based AI workloads. It is increasingly clear that AI interactions and feedback loops will extend from the cloud to the edge to client apps/devices.
- Edge computing brings compute and storage closer to the managed devices, rather than relying on far away sites.
- Edge AI helps apps that rely on real-time data processing by locally assisting with data, learning models and inference.
- Device AI is the adoption of smart/AI technologies by end user devices and machines, e.g. smartphones, robots, AGVs.
- Mobile edge AI seamlessly interconnects edge-based AI with device/machine AI using an “always on”, high bandwidth/fidelity, low latency wireless Private Mobile Network, delivered by the Highway 9 Mobile Cloud.
- Highway 9 Mobile Cloud extends operator network coverage into the enterprise via Neutral Host Networks.
- Highway 9 Mobile Cloud is integrated inside enterprise IT firewalls via its enterprise extension capability.
